How do I check if my form has been received?
If you want to confirm that your form has been received, you can phone us
on 0860 860 CAO/226 (or dial +27 31 268 4444 from outside South Africa)
or check 'My Application' on our website
.
How will I know when my application has been processed?
You will receive an SMS message notifying you that your application has
been processed. Thereafter, you will receive an acknowledgement letter.
Allow up to 15 working days after we receive your application for it to be
processed.
Please contact us if you do not receive this acknowledgement letter within
four weeks after you have sent your application. Any special information
the institution wishes applicants to know will be included with the details
of your choices.
How do I check the status of my application?
Once your details are on our database, it will be easy for us to answer
queries. If you have given us your email address or cell phone number,
we shall send you a message when your form has been processed.
You can check the status of your application on our website
by selecting 'My Application' and entering your
CAO number or your ID or passport number.This information can be printed
if you have access to a printer.
You can also phone the CAO on Share Call 086 0CAO/086 086 0226
(or dial +27 31 268 4444 from outside South Africa) to find out whether your
application has been processed, or to check the status of your programme
choices.
If you have given us an email address or have a fax number, you can even
request a confirmation letter. Have your CAO number handy. You can
phone the CAO (24/7) to find out about your application and other
information by selecting the option to speak to a Call Centre agent
who is available Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 16h30.
Calls from South African landlines to the Share Call number are charged at
local rates.
