1. About the CAO
The Central Applications Office (CAO) processes
applications for admissions to all universities,
universities of technology, most private and
three TVET colleges in KwaZulu-Natal.
Our participating institutions offer
over 800
programmes, and with just ONE APPLICATION
FORM, you can apply for up to six programmes
at any of our partner institutions.
You do not need to complete a separate
application for each institution. You only have
to pay ONE APPLICATION FEE and when you
want to update or change your application to
any of the institutions in this Handbook, there is
ONE OFFICE to contact.

Hospital:
• Continue up Rick Turner
Road towards UKZN, past
Debonairs and Steers and
the University sports fields.
• As you go down the hill,
pass Gates 7, 8, 9 and 10.
• Take the first right turn into
Kalanden Road.
• Turn right again into Mary
Thiphe Street.
• Turn right at Gate 11.
If using public transport:
• Go to the Phoenix taxi rank
under the bridge at the
Warwick Market.
• Ask for Mayville Taxis.
Once you are in a Mayville
taxi, ask the driver to drop
you off at the CAO.
