1. Terms and Conditions
1.1. An application is considered to be valid only once
the full application (including the signed Declaration
and Informed Consent) and application fee has been
received by the CAO.
1.2. The official
Received Date
for the application will be
the date on which the terms and conditions of item 1.1
have been met. Applicant and application information
will be sent to institutions only once the terms and
conditions of item 1.1 have been met.
1.3. Application fees are not refundable.
1.4. Every attempt has been made to ensure that the
information in this handbook is accurate and up-to-
date. However, institutions continually update their
programmes and entry requirements.
1.5. During the course of the year, institutions may make
available new programmes that were not finalised
in time to be included in this handbook – check our
website
, or contact our Call Centre on
0860 860 226 or 031 268 4444 for updates.
1.6. An entry in this handbook does not oblige the
institution to offer the programme as institutions
continually assess their programmes and may decide
to discontinue programmes.
1.7. If, during an application cycle an institution
discontinues a programme that is published in the
current Handbook the applicant may change such a
programme at no cost to the applicant.
1.8. Applicants should apply and pay on or before the
published closing dates. Applications received after
these dates will be considered as Late Applications
and each institution has its own rules and procedures
on how they deal with applications received after the
closing date.
1.9. Specified entry requirements are guidelines used by
institutions and each institution sets its own minimum
entry requirements.
1.10. Entry requirements published in the Handbook are
MINIMUM requirements for your application to be
considered, it does not guarantee acceptance.
1.11. In most cases the number of applications for a
qualification/programme far exceeds the number
of places that an institution has available for the
qualification/programme. Therefore, while you may
meet the published minimum entry requirements
there may be many more applicants that fare better
than you and who may be considered ahead of you.
1.12. At most, three weeks after we receive your application
form we will send you an
Acknowledgement
Letter
by e-mail. If no email address is provided the
communication will be sent by fax, and if no fax
number is provided letters are sent by post. Applicants
are encouraged to use a valid email address for
communication since this is the quickest way that
you will receive letters. Posting letters is a last resort.
See Electronic Communications andTransactions Act,
2002 regarding emailed documents.
1.13. If you had not received an Acknowledgement Letter
three weeks after you sent us your application
form, you must contact us to find out whether we
had received your application form and, if we have,
enquire after its progress. (See 1.5 for contact details)
1.14. Applicants are responsible for carefully checking their
acknowledgement letters and informing the CAO of
any errors, omissions, or changes.
1.15. If you do not inform us of errors, omissions, or
changes within two weeks after we sent you the
Acknowledgement Letter, we shall accept that all the
information in the Acknowledgement Letter as being
correct.
1.16. If you have not received an Acknowledgement Letter
within one month after submitting your application,
you MUST contact the CAO.
